Fundraising

Moray HandyPerson Services does not get core funding from any Public Sector bodies. We have, in the past, been able to get external funding for this, however with the current financial squeeze it is very difficult to get continuation funding.

We have LEADER/MCHSCP funding for the Connect Project and Age Scotland funded our personal information packs and leaflets. We will continue to try and access external funding, however as our work supports local, vulnerable, people free of charge, we increasingly look to local communities to contribute to the important work of our organisation. Our clients and supporters give donations which are gratefully received. We have a very generous private donor whose support currently covers the cost of one part-time member of staff. We need more to cover our basic costs, which are modest but vital.

We are concentrating our fundraising efforts on local activities and awareness raising. We will be doing a range of activities - please help where you can with donations for car boot sales, buying at sales and coffee mornings, or buying raffle tickets. Without the support of the people of Moray, we will struggle to maintain the services at their current standard and level.
